Massachusetts Creates New ED Cabinet

Massachusetts Governor Patrick hopes to promote economic growth and create new jobs in Massachusetts by formally establishing a Development Cabinet that he will chair.

Patrick today signed an executive order to recognize the cabinet, which has been convening since January.

The group will meet twice a month to coordinate projects with state agencies and provide advice to the governor for economic development projects in education, health care, stem cell research and workforce housing.

The governor says he hopes to create over 100,000 new jobs during his 4-year term.
